Boyomo joined Osasuna from Real Valladolid in the summer for €5m plus €500,000 in add-ons. And the 23-year-old centre-back has impressed for Rojillo’s side since the start of the season and has emerged as a target for Aston Villa.

The Villans are set to let Brazilian centre-back Diego Carlos leave Villa Park. With links to Real Betis’ 30-year-old centre-back Diego Llorente. Before being linked with a move for the younger, less expensive Boyomo, who could also be tempted to sell for less than his release clause.

Boyomo has a €25m release clause, although it is possible that. Osasuna would sell for below this valuation. Los Rojillos are aware that clubs. Especially those in the Premier League, have the financial muscle that they cannot compete with.

It remains to be seen whether Aston Villa come calling for Boyomo in 2024. But if so, there’s no doubt that he is more than capable of competing in the Premier League. Regardless, Osasuna will hope to keep him at El Sadar.
